We've reached the point where having a skeleton is bold and empowering, judging by Nike's new X-Ray Bones women's athletic tights. They do look pretty cool. And as Blisstree's Hanna Brooks Olsen points out, female athletes "are expected to get all dolled up, and wear cute, feminine outfits" that are pretty lame compared to athletic gear for men. These tights, while made of expensive-sounding Dri-FIT and spandex (they go for $90), are nonetheless an attempt to level the playing field, so to speak. They might also be ripping off some of Black Milk's designs (namely Leg Bones and Muscles). Via Laughing Squid.
