Is Ikea selling theatrical lighting fixtures now? They're easily the most prominent part of this new British ad from Mother London that shows off the Swedish furniture retailer's colorful (super, super colorful) 2013 catalog. The ad references Flashdance, Singin' in the Rain, and Top of the Pops dance troupe Pan's People. Even the song, 99 Trees' cover of "Bright Shiny Colors," is a reference. By the time it's over, I felt like I'd been punched right in the nostalgia. It's rather fitting that an Ikea ad is basically a careful assemblage of pre-made parts, though.
